A rare piece from the late 1800s, this is a genuinely unique oyster plate. The plate is beautifully molded with a fish scale pattern accented by green paint and raised swirls, which are additionally accented by hand-painted details in the center, around the oyster wells, and with the dramatic scallop and molded edge of the plate, which is gilded.
Richly beautiful in this deep Forest Green color, complemented with a soft Pink brush, highlighted with gold gilt. The plate is 8.5", 1.0" tall. It is in excellent condition, with some gold loss due to age.
