This almost antique winking Santa Claus is in wonderful condition!
Made of chalk ware and hand painted, he may very well be a piggy bank. He has a slot in his upper back and a rubber plug in the bottom of his left foot, still intact.
He is a big guy. Approximately 19” tall by 9 inches wide, about 20 pounds.
He has a chip on the heel of one of his boots and some flea bites on his coat. As pictured. His pipe is in surprisingly great condition.
The maker mark on his belt in the back says Creative Co., PA. There are also Roman numerals and a date on the belt, that could read either 1929 or 1979.
He will be sure to delight all of the “kids” in your life!
