The Spirit Balls were a series of animated Halloween props originally made in 2006-2008 and remade in 2014. Each one featured a different character inside of the ball. The character's head and mouth move as he/she moves their glowing eyes back and forth (Small models do not have moving eyes). They came in both small and large versions. Some versions even included a microphone to talk through them to unsuspecting guests, or a remote to activate from a distance, while others did not. The dates that each Spirit Ball was produced are listed beside their names.

The series began with the Large Butler Spirit Ball. The same year, other characters were developed, based off of Life Size Gemmy Characters. A Gypsy character was made exclusively for Michael's, which is based off of a real person. 3 Small characters were released exclusively at Walgreens, which are notably louder.
