In the late '90s and early 2000s, I was deeply invested in Kurt Cobains life and death. Around the 10th anniversary, I reached out to Courtney Loves father, Hank Harrison, exchanging emails where he answered my many questions. Eventually, Hank offered to send me a CD-R with an early, unedited version of his book in three password-locked PDF files, totaling over 700 pages. I saved his return address and password note in the jewel case, along with my own note about its importance. This CD-R holds a unique, raw draft filled with unpolished details, spelling errors, and all.
