Clark & Coombs Mid Century Sterling Silver Blue Glass Cabochon Ring Men Sz 10.5. It could be foiled behind the glass as it is covered with a silver plate on the rear. This ring is an exemplary example of Clark & Coombs' work. I believe it dates to the mid-century and was targeted toward the Freemasons early on. The blue cabochon is subtly accented by a stamped silver design around it and a cross hatch treatment to the graduated shank. Marked "Sterling" and "C&C" maker's mark. Size 10 1/2. Weight 9g. In very good vintage condition. The cabochon has no scratches and the sterling shows only very light wear and no bending. It has been cleaned and polished. Comes in gift box.
Clark & Coombs Co. was a jewelry manufacturer based in Providence, Rhode Island, known for producing gold and silver rings, particularly between the late 19th and mid-20th centuries.
