Gorgeous Thoroughbred Foal Bronze Sculpture by Gwen Reardon

This is a simply beautiful piece of signed vintage sculpture. A Thoroughbred Foal at rest, It's called "New Generation", and is by well known equine artist, Gwen Reardon. She is the life-size horse sculpture artist of Lexington, Kentucky’s Thoroughbred Park, Sadly, this famous, award winning artist passed away in March of this year. She was thought of by many as the world's greatest equine artist. She was the sculptor and artist responsible for the spectacular bronze horses at Lexington’s Thoroughbred Park. This piece is signed and dated "Gwen 96." It measures 7" wide x 5 1/2" tall. The bronze figurine rests on a square black wood base. There's brass name tag on the front edge of base, and original label on bottom. It is signed by the artist on the left side of the foals body, just above where it meets the wood base. The bronze foal is in perfect condition, but the wood base has some edges of chipped paint that has been touched up. Please see all pictures for detail and thank you!
