Nove Rose Majolica 12" Platter Cake Plate from Italy

Sometimes pattern is seen as Nova Rose or Nova Rosa.

The Vicenza region of Italy and the towns of Nove and Bassano are its origin, thus the pattern is most likely correctly called Nove Rose.

The design was very popular and heavily produced during the 1920s and 1930s and was brought home by many tourists.

The pottery features prominent pink cabbage roses, a yellow tulip, a cosmos-like flower, usually in blue or plum color, and small blue flowers that look like hyacinth.

The edge is decorated with a blue dot and line pattern typical of the region, collectible Italian pottery for the admirer of the majolica.

The pieces have a back stamp embossed saying "Italy." The age is most likely after mid-century, likely 70's to 80's when the pattern was discontinued.

Piece has no chips or damage.
