This is a lovely vintage glass bride’s basket, standing approximately 6" tall, in a light amethyst (sun purple) color. The basket features an etched starburst and leaf motif, scalloped rim, and a twisted applied handle. The purple hue comes from natural aging of manganese in the glass, a trait found in early 20th century production.
The handle shows a seam where the glass was pressed and applied during manufacture — this is not damage, but a normal characteristic of handmade glass baskets.
A beautiful display piece, perfect for a vintage glass collection, table centerpiece, or gift.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Handle shows an as-made join mark from production (not damage). Light wear consistent with age. See photos for details.
